A Fallen Hero

Finally the truth comes out
And your trust in me starts to fall south

I've fallen down on my face nothing else but raw blood to taste
Lost faith in myself, a total disgrace

Life spins around so fast, so far
Can't grab back on it's just too hard

The heart pumps and the blood cells jump
And they move through these uncool wounds

Ferocious and rough,
fighting all the time has become quite tough but
can't quit though still sick and tired of it

I used to be your hero but now those days are gone
No longer is it brains or brawn

I'm sorry city, I can't protect you my old powers are no longer a virtue
No matter how much I avert you, you sit still, you know the hero curfew
God help you

I was blind even with my x-ray, my gifts will be missed but remembered through each of the next days

Don't fret when I finally leave
Please wipe the tears away with that crinkled sleeve

I was never known as a zero but now I will be recognized as the Fallen Hero
